  Brenda Kilgore has studied extensively and worked in many different venues in her art career. Brenda worked as an art director for Pyramid Handbags and designed children's accessories for such companies as Walt Disney, Mattel, and Warner Brothers as well as freelance designs for Regina Porter Womens Wear. Brenda's designs were features in "W" magazine as notable. Brenda left designing to follow her desire for fine art and portraiture and studied for several years with Burt Silverman. Brenda also received her Masters Degree from the New York Academy of Art, Graduate School of Figurative Art, and studied with such notable teachers as Vincent Desiderio, Patrick Connors, and Ted Schmidt  among others.

Brenda studied in an intensive program in France for two summers and is currently teaching portraiture privately. Brenda works on her drawings and paintings exclusively from life.

 

 

 

 Brenda moved to Florida in 2002 to become partners with Lisa DiLeo in The Faux Pros in a faux finish and mural painting business which has worked all over the country for such clients as Reggie Jackson, Sylvester Stallone and many notable private homes and public restaurants. Their work was recently seen in "World's Leading Estates" magazine.  Their work can also be seen at www.TheFauxPros.com

Their mural work was also featured on a two hour episode of "Extreme Make Over Home Edition" on ABC television in April 2006.
